Entry to the Castle Grounds on 24, 25 & 26 August 2019 is included with the purchase of tickets for England’s Medieval Festival.

Please note that as the castle operates as an International Study Centre for Queens’ University in Canada, the castle is not freely open to the public and tours are scheduled around timetables and other uses including conferences/weddings. The tour lasts approximately one hour and at an extra charge (subject to availability), £3.00 per Adult/Concession & £1.50 per child under 16. Castle tour tickets to be purchased on arrival from Castle Reception.

Joint tickets with The Observatory Science Centre offer exceptional value for money and a great day out, tickets to be purchased on arrival from either the castle ticket office or The Observatory Science Centre.
Please note that the science centre will be closed Friday 30th August until 2.30pm and all day Monday 2nd September for the Astronomy Festival so no joint tickets available during this weekend.
